A mission statement is a short written statement of a company describing its aims, function, markets & competitive advantages. Defines what an organisation is, why it exists, its reason for being. Describes the company’s function, market & competitive advantages.
Example:
Coca-Cola – Refresh the world, inspire moments of optimism & happiness, create value & make a difference.
World Clothes Line – When customers purchase merchandise for themselves, they also provide clothing for the less fortunate (for those who need them).
